Avoiding Technology Overload

Farmers already have access to an overwhelming number of platforms, apps, dashboards, sensors and software tools.

AI could dramatically increase those options.

So how does a farmer decide what's actually worth using?

Karen encourages producers to focus on the problems they genuinely need solved instead of chasing every new piece of technology that enters the market.

Farmers should also be willing to tell technology companies what isn't working.

That feedback is critical.

If an app requires too many clicks, a platform doesn't integrate with existing equipment or a tool doesn't solve a meaningful problem, companies need to hear it.

Honest feedback from farmers can ultimately help create better technology for the entire industry.

Is Trust More Valuable Than Farm Data?

Farm data has been one of agriculture's biggest technology conversations for years.

Who owns it? Who can access it? How is it being used?

Karen introduces another important part of that discussion: trust.

She argues that trust may ultimately be even more valuable than the data itself.

Farmers need confidence that the companies they work with will handle their information responsibly, deliver value and be transparent about how technology works.
