Studio 205 Brings Fresh Opportunity to Slater, Iowa
Slater, Iowa is seeing a revival thanks to the transformation of a former Casey’s General Store into Studio 205—a dynamic, multi-use commercial facility designed to serve the evolving needs of the local community and beyond. Purchased in 2022 by Tanner Winterhof and Corey Hillebo, co-hosts of the popular Farm4Profit agriculture podcast, the building has been fully renovated to offer space for podcasting, events, and creative collaboration.
Originally intended to be a headquarters for their rapidly growing ag business podcast, Studio 205 now features a state-of-the-art podcast studio for rent, a versatile event space with a full kitchen and flatscreen TVs, and a high-tech golf simulator—making it a destination for both professionals and locals. The space aims to support agricultural entrepreneurs, local creators, and community events, blending rural innovation with modern utility.
Tanner Winterhof, an Aurelia native and graduate of AIB College of Business, brings a unique perspective from his years in the banking and ag finance sector, where he saw firsthand the need for financial literacy and business education in agriculture. Together, Tanner and Corey are not only hosting one of the most influential ag podcasts in the Midwest, but also investing in infrastructure that encourages entrepreneurship, education, and community engagement right in the heart of Iowa.
