1. INTRODUCTION

Farm4Profit Media LLC ("Farm4Profit," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Farm4Profit mobile application and related services (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Account information: If you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a password (stored in encrypted/hashed form by our authentication provider).

Location data: With your permission, the App accesses your device’s location to provide localized weather, radar, market, and deadline information. You may instead set your area manually. We do not build a history of your location.

Device and push token: If you enable notifications, we collect your device’s push notification token and platform (iOS/Android) so we can send reminders you opt into. The token may be linked to your account when you are signed in.

Messages you submit: If you use "Message the Show," we collect the first name, phone number, and message you provide. Your phone number is kept private and is not shown publicly.

Feedback you submit: If you use Help & Feedback, we collect your message and category, your email if you are signed in, and your app version and device platform to help us diagnose issues.

Preferences: Settings such as units, manual location, and notification preferences are stored locally on your device.

Usage and analytics data: We collect information about how you use the App — such as screens viewed, features used, general traffic patterns, and crash or error diagnostics — to understand engagement and improve the App. We collect this information using third-party analytics and traffic-measurement services, including Google Analytics (a Google service) and other analytics providers. This may include basic device information such as app version, platform, and a device identifier used by these analytics services. This information is largely aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and improve the App’s features (weather, radar, markets, tools, events)

  • Create and authenticate your account and sync your preferences

  • Send notifications and reminders you have opted into

  • Deliver and read listener messages you submit

  • Respond to feedback and support requests

  • Measure app usage and traffic to understand engagement and improve the App

  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and diagnose problems

We do not use your information for third-party advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.

4. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

We share information only with the service providers that help us operate the App, and only as needed to provide the service. These include:

  • Cloud hosting and database providers — to run the App and store your account data

  • Email delivery providers — to send account and notification emails

  • Push notification providers — to deliver the reminders you opt into

  • Weather, mapping, and market-data providers — we send your location to return localized results

  • Analytics and performance-monitoring providers, such as Google Analytics — to understand app usage and traffic and keep the App reliable

  • Content platforms — to display our podcast and video content

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

5. LOCATION DATA

Location is used only to fetch relevant local data — for example, weather and radar for your area, nearby market information, and location-based deadlines. Location access is optional; you may deny it and choose your area manually, or use a default reference area. We do not track or store your location history on our servers.

6. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS

If you enable notifications, we register your device’s push token to deliver reminders you opt into (such as live-recording reminders). You can turn notifications off at any time in your device Settings or within the App, which stops further reminders to that device.

7. MESSAGES AND FEEDBACK YOU SUBMIT

When you submit a message through "Message the Show," we may read or feature your first name and message (for example, on air or on a studio display). Your phone number is used only for follow-up and is never shown publicly. Feedback you submit is used to improve the App and to respond to you.

8. DATA SECURITY

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and our providers’ industry-standard security. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. DATA RETENTION

We retain account information until you delete your account. Push tokens are retained until you disable notifications or uninstall the App. Messages and feedback are retained as needed for our operations. Preferences stored on your device are removed when you uninstall the App.

10. DELETING YOUR ACCOUNT AND DATA

You can delete your account and associated account data at any time from within the App (Settings > Account > Delete account), or by emailing us at connect@farm4profit.com.

11. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you

  • Request correction of inaccurate information

  • Request deletion of your account and data

  • Opt out of notifications and marketing emails

12. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. Farm4Profit does not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

13. INTERNATIONAL USERS

If you access the App from outside the United States, your information will be processed in the United States. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Contact us to exercise these rights.

14. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at connect@farm4profit.com and we will delete it.

15. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last Updated" date and, for material changes, notify you within the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
